Providing youth football in Horsham for over 50 years

A progressive football club with values and a sense of history

Horsham Sparrows FC has been providing youth football since 1967 and is currently the town’s only FA Community Charter Club. Run entirely by volunteers, we provide football for boys and girls of all ages and abilities in a safe, supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Our Mini Kickers and Wildcats sessions offer an introduction to football for the very youngest of players while the club is represented at senior level by our Women’s team.

The club aims to promote a sense of respect and responsibility in its players, volunteers and supporters as well as to strive for high quality competitive football. We’re proud of our reputation for sporting behavior and we encourage everyone at the club follow this ethos by creating a supportive atmosphere to allow players to have fun and achieve their full potential.

WOMENS TEAM

The clubs senior team provides competitive football for female players with many of the team rising through the younger age groups. Our friendly squad is always looking to attract new players to play in matches on Sundays throughout the season.

MINI KICKERS

Fun based training sessions and activities that serve as an introduction to football for the very youngest of players. With sessions run by qualified coaches, Mini Kickers provides the perfect stepping stone to joining a playing squad in the future.

WILDCATS

Does your daughter want to get into football? Our Wildcats squad provides fun based training sessions for girls aged from 5 years and is a great way for them to experience football in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

The Horsham Sparrows website is designed to provide information about the club and also valuable resources for players, parents and coaches with documents, policies and procedures covering every aspect of how we operate.

At Horsham Sparrows FC we’re committed to creating a positive and encouraging environment for our players at all times. YOU can make a real difference by being supportive and following the guidelines laid down FA’s respect campaign and codes of conduct. Please observe these key principles when attending a children’s football match:

  • Always remember, the players are children and the referees and coaches are volunteers.
  • Create a positive atmosphere and applaud all good play, including the opposition players
  • Support the match officials and respect the decisions they make – Without them, there would be no game!
  • Refrain from shouting instructions to players – Let the manager and coaches look after the team.
  • Report any abuse or incidents that breach the FA’s code of conduct
  • Check the club’s social media and filming policies before sharing any information on-line

By following these guidelines and working together, we can continue to provide a fun footballing experience for everyone.
