An early goal for the home team put them on the back foot and they struggled to get back into the game after that. Under 13 Girls – The team played really well in the first half before tiring slightly in the second half. The 3 E’s in defence (Ellen, Emily and Ellie) kept a really strong line first half and this allowed the team to get forward and it was great to see Becca get her first and second goals (the second from a brilliant pass from Alice). 2-0 at half-time was easily the best half of football this year but Worthing are not 3rd in the league for nothing and came back strongly with 2 quick goals and then managed to get the winner 5 minutes before the end. Cerys and Sam scored their first goals of the season and both Joseph and Aaron were on the score sheet too. There were other scorers but with everyone passing and defending so well it was difficult to single out any one individual for Person of the match, so it was right to award the whole team this accolade.

Under 13 Girls – In what was always going to be tough fixture against Mile Oak, the team held their opponents to 0-0 at halftime.
