Sparrows U16 Boys were in action at Horsham Park on Saturday and a close affair resulted in a 1-1 draw against Ashurst Wood.

Sparrows took the lead in the first half before Ashurst Wood equalised within five minutes left to play. Another point in the right direction for the blue and whites, who remain in pole position for the title.

Next we have Sparrows U15 Boys, who were at home to East Grinstead Meads with the match resulting in a 0-3 loss for the Sparrows.

But they produced a valiant effort throughout the match and will be ready to go again next Saturday against Steyning Town.

Sparrows U14 Boys were in action in the C league away at Crawley Down and bagged an important three points in their push for the title.

They scored two first half goals before adding a third midway through the second half, which was enough to come away victorious.

Another tight encounter in our next one in which the spoils were shared with Sparrows U13 Boys drawing 1-1 away at Lingfield.

It was their first draw of the season and an important point as they look to put distance between themselves and Horsham Herons who sit in fifth.

Onto the girls now and Sparrows U16s were involved in a high-scoring battle against their closest rivals in the table Oakwood. The match finished a 4-5 loss for Sparrows after a late goal from Oakwood stole the three points.

Sparrows worked extremely hard to get back level after being 1-3 down at half time but fell just the wrong side of the scoreline in the end.

Sparrows U15 Girls were away to Cuckfield and unfortunately lost 3-0 but will look to bounce back against Chichester City next time out.

Sparrows U14 Girls bolstered their title hopes with a 1-0 win over Uckfield. A wonderful second half strike clinched the three points for the Sparrows as they made it their seventh win of the season.

The Sparrows U13 Girls faced Crawley and Maidenbower which finished 1-1 at Horsham Park in Division 1 of Sussex County Women and Girls Football League.

Next is Sparrows U12 Girls who were 2-4 victors in their match against Hove Park Colts on Sunday morning.

An impressive win for the Sparrows who were the underdogs coming into this one.
