Matchday Results & reports - Weekend 11th & 12th April 2026

A round-up of the action and results from this weekend

There was a return to action for 8 of our teams after the Easter holidays. Despite plenty of goals there weren’t many points claimed. The Sparrows U16s Boys finished their season unbeaten after a six-goal thriller away at Hassocks Youth with the match ending 3-3, whilst another high-scoring affair for the under 15s saw Sparrows U15s Boys edge past Billinghurst 3-2.

In the under 14s group, Sparrows U14s Boys (Blue) fell to a 1-4 defeat to league leaders Roffey Robins. A valiant effort from Sparrows against a tough opposition but they have managed to secure the runners up spot in their division.

The U14s (White) unfortunately dropped points to top of the table Ashurst Wood, the final score being 1-4. Sparrows did well in the second half to stop Ashurst Wood adding more goals to their tally and managed a late consolation goal as reward for their efforts.

Sparrows U13s Boys narrowly lost to Broadbridge Heath 1-2 over the Easter Weekend and will be looking to bounce back at the first time of asking.

The final fixture on Saturday saw Sparrows U12s Boys lose 3-7 at home to Horsham Herons.

Now onto the girls starting with the Sparrows U13s who lost by fine margins in a 2-1 defeat against Crawley & Maidenbower Panthers.

The U12s Blue suffered a 3-0 loss on the road against Withdean, and the Sparrows 12s Whites suffered a similar fate with just the one goal separating them and Woodingdean.

Midweek Fiztures on the 15th April 2026

Results picked up significantly midweek with 4 of the boys’ teams recording victories. The Sparrows U15s Boys recorded their second win in 5 days with a 2-1 win against Horsham Tigers.

Both the U14 boys‘ teams also recorded victories with Sparrows U14s Blue delivering a dominant performance away against Crawley & Maidenbower Panthers, winning 0-4, and the U14s Whites beat Billinghurst 1-3 away from home.

Our final midweek outing saw Sparrows U12s Boys bounce back from their defeat at the weekend to run out 1-2 victors over Horsham Tigers – Sparrows sixth win of the season.
