Matchday Results & reports - Weekend 18th & 19th April 2026

A round-up of the action and results from this weekend

Sparrows U15s Boys were just on the wrong end of the scoreline losing 2-3 to Patridge Green. In a game that could have gone either way. Unfortunately, other results didn’t go our way either, so the boys need to get something from the final game next week against the division’s Champions-elect.

An emphatic win from our U14s Boys (White) as they won 2-7 against Crawley Down. They finish their season on Wednesday night in the Park against Southwater.

Now moving onto our Sunday matches with the girls and we begin with the U16s who 3-1 winners over Seaford. In a competitive and highly enjoyable fixture played in Horsham Park, both teams had chances in the first half until the deadlock was broken with a brilliant Sparrows solo effort. Sparrows managed to get to the break with a slender lead and when play resumed, the forward players on both teams dominated the second half and only some resolute defending and great saves from both keepers kept the score sensible.

The nerves were settled when Sparrow’s grabbed a second goal and quickly followed that with their third. A determined Seaford team grabbed a goal from a corner in the last few minutes of the match but the final whistle followed soon after, sealing a 3-1 victory for Sparrows.

Congratulations to all the players from both sides for a hugely entertaining game played in the best spirit.

The Sparrows U15s Girls had to settle for a point in their 2-2 against Lingfield while a tough test away from home saw Worthing beat the U13s Girls 5-0.

Worthing were in action against another one of our Sparrows teams this time the U12s (Blue) with the game ending 1-0 in favour of Worthing.

And finally, a fantastic win to wrap things up as Sparrows U12s (White) beat Henfield 3-6.
